Our veterinary services.

Preventative, medical, surgical, dental and hospitalised care for dogs in Nassau.

Full service clinic

What we offer.

Purrfect Pets is a full service small animal veterinary hospital. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.

Complete Health Exams

A comprehensive physical examination is the foundation of everything else we do. Adult dogs should be seen at least once a year for an exam, vaccination boosters, deworming and heartworm testing. As dogs age their visits can become more complex, and catching a problem early gives us the best chance of managing it well long term.

Vaccinations & Preventative Screening

We are proud to offer vaccinations from the safest manufacturers for your pets, and we use the most up to date methods of administration to minimise the risk of vaccine reactions. We also offer preventative screenings for heartworms, fecal parasites and common old age illnesses for pets over 7 years old.

In-House Blood Work

Gone are the days of waiting hours for blood work results from an outside lab. Purrfect Pets performs diagnostic Complete Blood Counts as well as Comprehensive Chemistry Panels in house to assess your animal's overall wellbeing. Blood work eliminates the guess work and allows for proper treatment and management of disease. We recommend blood work once a year once your dog reaches 7 years old. Changes can then be monitored closely and early intervention started even if your pet is not yet showing clinical signs. Blood work is also how we determine what is happening to an animal that has fallen ill, and it helps the veterinarian choose the most appropriate course of action.

Routine & Specialty Surgery

We perform routine surgeries such as spays and neuters, and minor soft tissue surgeries such as mass and tumour removals, cherry eye repair and eyelid tumour removals. We also perform specialised surgeries including but not limited to c-sections, splenectomy, gastropexy and foreign body removal.

Teeth Cleaning & Oral Surgery

Pets get plaque, tartar and periodontal disease too. 85% of pets over the age of 3 years have some form of dental disease that requires treatment. We highly recommend that you flip the lip daily to check your pet's teeth and brush them. Dental cleanings at the vet range from minor cleanings to cleanings with extractions.

Hospitalisation & Pharmacy

Purrfect Pets is a full service small animal veterinary hospital. The facility includes a fully stocked pharmacy, a surgery suite and a closely monitored hospitalisation area with an outdoor yard for walking hospitalised dogs. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in house testing and the use of external laboratories.

Health Certificates

We issue health certificates for pets. Call the clinic ahead of your travel dates so we can advise you on timing and what your pet will need before the certificate is issued.

Medicated Baths & Nail Trims

We offer medicated baths and nail trims Monday to Wednesday and Friday. All pets must be pre existing patients that are up to date with vaccinations before these services can be rendered. Baths include a nail trim and ear cleaning.

Please note: dogs only at this time

Dr. Johnson suffers from severe allergies to cats and has relinquished services to cats for the time being. At present Purrfect Pets treats dogs only.
